It’s 2018 – why are you still falling for fake tweets? Key in some search terms – we recommend one or two key phrases to optimise search times – and we’ll help you verify the tweet against the Twitter account it supposedly originates from.
If the tweet is real, our extension saves you tons of time searching for it. You no longer have to deal with the difficulties of using Google/Twitter Advanced Search. Instead, we bring you directly to the results and let you personally verify them.
Our clean and simple UI makes fact checking easy for you. But just to be safe, we ignored any spaces and made your search input non case-sensitive to improve accuracy and convenience.
We made the extension extremely easy for you to use. To open it, you can either Right Click > Check A Tweet, press the Ctrl-Shift-6 keys, or create your own custom shortcut. The text field is selected by default allowing you to begin your search without moving a finger.
As tweets have become easier to manipulate, more of them are popping up on our social media feeds, spreading at an exponential rate.
Whether it’s to destroy a public figure’s reputation, steal one’s money, or assassinate a person’s character, fake tweets are a serious way to inflict great harm.
You don’t want to be responsible for propagating them.
